For the past thirty years, jewelry designer Bernard Delettrez has been known for his one-of-a-kind and intricate pieces featuring skulls, snakes, butterflies and other natural symbols. He was born in Casablanca to a Moroccan mother and French father, and moved to Paris as a child. After later graduating from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America, Delettrez moved to Brazil and opened a factory cutting emeralds and designing jewelry. He owned and operated his own shops through the 1990s, but decided to leave the world of retail and sell his shops to travel the world. Today, Delettrez continues to be a world traveler, splitting his time between Rome and his home in Kenya, all the while creating jewelry collections for his particularly eclectic and free-spirited clientele.
